I'm getting a new Fisher-Pykel 600 series CPAP and a hybrid mask. I'll use it for a week and post an evaluation. I had asked for forum input earlier, but no one responded. So, I'm guessing this isn't a popular brand. It was recommended by a nurse in my doctor's office. I am so looking forward to not having to wear a chin strap.

Can't reply fom experience.The buzz this summer was all about the hybrid.It seems that some people still had issues with it like every other mask. Keep us posted and ask questions

I have the F & P 600 CPAP series. It is very quiet (mine is left on the floor and right now, I tuck the hose under the pillow) but  there is no software available for the CPAP user who wants to see if CPAP is helping their apneas, or if there are air leaks.  I called my DME yesterday and was told that the manufacturer controls the software--how helpful can they be??
I will be pursuing this with my insurance carrier as I am renting the CPAP at the moment and want to become more in tune with what is going on.  If you only want to become compliant--it is a good CPAP.
I haven't used the hybrid mask so can not comment on the mask.

It's only been one night, but it was great. The Hybrid mask works well. At first, with the setting at 10, I had some concerns, but when I used the ramp feature it became very comfortable. The tubing is wired for heat so there's no moisture for rainout. I had no problems sleeping on my stomach. If it gets better with time, I can only imagine the benefits. I liked the Swift Nasal pillows, but I hated the chin strap I had to wear. The Hybrid settled that.

If there are any changes, I'll update.

Glad to hear you had a good first night. A positive attitude goes a long way. There seems to be 2 camps for the Hybrid mask, love it or hate it. I am in the latter. It just didn't work for me. That's great that it works for you. Wishing you success.
