Post minimal success and questions
I've had my study and finally gotten my cpap machine.  I have had 5 nights with the machine (a SomnoTech Trend 110 with heated humidifier).  And truthfully, I don't have any problem breathing with it.  The pressure doesn't bother me, I don't get all dried out, no headaches, so it's good.  I'm using the Puritan Bennett Breeze SleepGear with the nasal pillows and really that doesn't bother me either, a little quirky at first but easy to adjust to.

What's bothering me is 2 things.  When I turn over, I wake up due to the hose being in the way, which may just take longer to get used to.  The SleepGear itself isn't bothering me.  I have the hose strung over the head board, but just it being there when I turn is enough to wake me.  Has anyone had a similar experience and did it just get better?  Is there something I can try?

The second this is the noise when the seal breaks (another issue with turning).  I normally sleep with a fan on, so I'm used to some noise - maybe not right on my face - but noise just the same.  The Breeze is sort of a minimalist approach to a mask so it can shift slightly during the night, which causes it to pop out and I get this whooshing noise, which wakes me.

Neither of these issues is keeping me from using the system.  When I get enough sleep, the thing I notice is that I don't feel so foggy during the day.  But the continual waking is keeping me from get enough sleep.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

sounds like you need some more slack in the hose and some sticking plaster to help hold the mask on while you get used to it
it may help to tie the hose at the top of the headboard to stop it moving back and forth, this will allow you to adjust the slack in it

One solution is to hang the hose from above you.  I have a hook on the wall with a hair scrunci and it keeps the hose up high enough to allow me to roll over without laying on the hose.
