Post Titration sleep study--please fully explain
I am scheduled next month to return for my second sleep study; the titration study.  Why can't they collect and adjust things when they do the first study...they put a cpap on me in middle of the night.  As all know, this is expensive even if you have insurance.  Crying or Very sad  Any thoughts?

One more thing...i had the first study, then a month later saw my new sleep doc.  he had them reset my cpap machine from 8 to 10 and then we'll have this new study.

Thank you,

Hi hoosierkitkat!
See if you can get the complete results of your study.  It sounds like you already had the all-in-one test, a split-night study, on your first night, but an additional test is needed for some to-this-point unknown reason.  What was the rationale for this CPAP change from 8-10?
Write back.

I had a split-night study, but they didn't have enough time to fully titrate the air pressure on the CPAP, so I still have to go back for another night. Maybe that's what's happening with you? They were able to get it for when I was sleeping on my side, but once I rolled onto my back, they didn't have time to finish finding a good setting. Perhaps that's your case, too? Just a guess.  Question

Post thanks to everyone for replys and information!!
I just wanted to thank everyone who wrote me a reply to this question.  It is most reassuring to have cpcp buddies who care enough to share their knowledge and experiences!!!  Many thanks and God bless all!!  kitkat
