How many sleep studies?

Post How many sleep studies?
I have had two studies, my last one was last night. Last nights study was a split study with use of a full face mask that was very comfortable.  I would like to have an idea of how many sleep studies are in my near future. The tech said I stopped breathing repeately for the first part of the test without cpap but with cpap I was much better.
I will have to wait several weeks for my next appointment to get the results.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom!
Nah, that should be about it if the titration came out OK, then ususally only if circumstances change (10% weight change either way, resumption of symptoms that brought you to the lab in the first place, or snoring or apneas while on CPAP) would you need another study.  I don't think there's any hard and fast rule as far as routine monitoring goes, but I think you're looking at maybe 3-5 years down the road anyway, cause OSA can worsen purely as a function of age as well.

Would disagree with this...

Once you are titrated, you shouldn't need another study until something changes.  I.E. weight gain/loss, etc.  And the best indicator is your own body.  IF you are feeling better, and the therapy is working, I wouldn't rush out to get a study to show that everything is fine.
