Ok I know I know, I shouldnt have tried it. Had my sleep study done, waiting for the results although the tech told me I am positive for apnea. My appointment is not until Nov 22 and I wanted to try at least something to help me get some kind of decent sleep until this is resolved and I figured for 25 bucks its worth a shot at some possible temporary relief. From what I read it is a somewhat cheaper version of the Snorex except that one has a hole to breathe through the mouth as the snorban does not. Ok after a week and a half with the most uncomfortable thing in my mouth here is the results.

My bottom front teeth hurt for hours after it is removed in the morning (I set it according to the instructions, trust me) and my wife says I snore exactly the same with it in as not using it at all. SO, if you feel the need to lose 25 bucks and do not like your teeth either give me the money and Ill punch you in the mouth or buy this thing. In not so funny terms it is totally useless and I am going to attempt (they claim there is a 30 day guarantee) to send it back.

November 22nd cannot come fast enough for my results   so I can get the titration set up.....

Hi Johnny,

Don't write off all dental devices. Some of the professionally fitted ones are very effective. It's a decision you can make later.

Only 7 more days to go.

It gets to be depressing when you don't have the money for the device needed. What is a person suppose to do. Lucky i have the CPAP machine orelse i would be dead today.

I've been using Snorbans for severals years but I'm afraid they are starting to lose some of their original effectiveness -- possibly because I gained a little more weight, and the added years make things more flabbly. Not to mention that I am having more CSA (central sleep apnea) events.

Anyway, I made my own testing apparatus to measure the breathing and proved beyond a shadow of doubt the Snorban was very effective in stopping all snoring (unbelievable sounds, actually!) AND most of the OSA. The information was output to my computer and everything plotted and compared. To me, total proof that the thing worked.

So, at least for some, Snorban type gadgets (MADs) can work very effectively.

By the way -- and check with your doctor! -- mirtazapine or amitriptyline (sp?) in small quantities (few mg) does absolute wonders in keeping me sleeping. Doctor can't figure out how such a small quantity (far below normal dose) works but he now uses it too.
