Post RemStar M Pro AHI sensitivity? (anyone?)
I have a question about the sensitivity of RemStar PRO M's. They have the the ability to measure AHI, but it doesn't seem very sensitive. I have woken up a few times with a gasp and a little fast breathing afterward, but the meter reads nothing. After a few times of this I tried to fake an event, holding my breath for up to 20 seconds, just to see if it would register as an event: nothing. I am growing skeptical of the detection ability of the machine.

I am a new CPAP user and wonder if there is something other than an apnea that would wake me up like that? I am a little skeptical of my current pressure because it was titrated on my side only and I had zero REM sleep. As a result I was hoping to relight on the AHI readings from the machine to tell me if I should get re-titrated as I become more comfortable and begin to get REM sleep on my back.
