 More Respironics questions
I am curious about the REMstar Pro M Series with C-Flex (Part number DS400HS with humidifier). This unit appears to be a fully data CPAP. If so, is the enhanced data available on the units integrated LCD screen? I will be purchasing this machine on my own, since my local provider refuses to offer a data capable machine. If I pay for it myself, I will not be able to afford the reader and software right away, so I hope I can access the data on the screen. I currently use the REMstar Plus machine with compliance recording.
Thanks!

I think you are asking about the one I just got this summer. What I see on the screen is not all inclusive. The screen tells me the leak rate, my episodes, hours of use, etc. But for a more complete view of what is happening I have to take the data card my provider to print the read out.
Maybe someone else will be able to give you more accurate details as to what you get. I'm still pretty green.

Thanks Lucrenda. I know a data capable machine will be very helpful for me. Any comments from others about the usefulness of the data on the units LCD will be welcomed!
Another qustion: Is the card reader and software actually available for patient purchase anymore? If so, where?

 More Respironics questions
I bumped this to the top of the list because I still have questions. I am looking for opinions or experiences with reading the data from the M-series Pro from the LCD screen only. Did that provide enough data to permit you do any therapy management or raise enough concers to contact your doctor?
I am currently on an M Series Plus with no data caoability. I am ready to buy my own machine. Two questions?
1: Should I just upgrade to the Pro machine, or should I consider the auto machine?
2: Does the M-series humidifier work with all three M series machines?

If you are ready to buy on your own I would get an auto because it also works in cpap mode if you want. There is, of course a price difference.
The M Series integrated humidifier works with all 3 machines - the Plus, the Pro and the Auto.
I don't know if you are planning on returning your Plus or not but, while, it is not data capable, it is a good backup machine should you need it sometime.
I have the M Series Auto with A-Flex and love it (bought on my own)! There is some data on the LCD screen but I also have the software and reader, for sale from online cpap stores, and get great detailed data.

I have the RemStar M Series Auto. In "user" mode it shows basic compliance data on the LCD, number of sessions and hours, etc. In "setup" mode, you can enable it to show you some basic data like average pressure (if it's in auto mode) and AHI. That's about it really, as far as the display on the unit is concerned. I'm an information junky so I've been tempted to get a reader and see what else I can glean from the data, but then I don't really know what I'd be looking for.

I have the same machine. How do you get into "setup" mode to enable more features?

 set up
I don't think "they" are allowed to tell you how to access the set up mode. Take it to your care provider and ask them to do it for you. Since you paid all that money for it, it is the least they can do.:O)
