My god those oxygen concentrators are noisey----right now i am on a 2lpm ---too bad the portables are so expensive

They are not only noisy they also generate a lot of heat, I got about 30 to 40 feet of tubing and put mine down the hallway from the bedroom, I can still hear it a little but it is more tolerable! Just another irritation to go along with the mask and BiPAP machine! White Beard

Setting your concentrator on a piece of carpet can help reduce the sound quite a bit as well. I've got mine in a separate room too, on carpeting. (We have hardwood floors).

The portables are a PITA around the house. Plus I don't do as well on pulse as I do the continuous flow.

I did some design work years ago for a company called Invacare and I was amazed at how quiet their concentrators were.
They had a room with about 50 of them running and it was not noisy at all. Don't know what they are like nowadays, but it might be worth taking a look at one of theirs.
