Post Masks
Very Happy  I have been on a CPAP since July of last year. I had a small mask and it leaked like crazy then was given a petite mask. Now after several months I trimmed my beard and I'm using the small mask. With the petite mask I felt like I was sufficating ??? I was given a chin strap for my jaw because I would open my mouth at night and my mouth was like the Sahara desert. Since the last visit it's been great. Now for the question: How long do these masks last? I have a Respironics CFLEX and it's a great machine. Great website and it has helped me knowing I'm not alone with this. Thanks a bunch

I have a comfortlite 2 and have used others in the past. Currently, my ins. pays for new nasal pillows every month. When I had the Breeze, it was the same. Even with daily washing, they get harder to clean and start to look nasty by the end of the month.

The headgear is only paid for once a year (which has been the average lifespan of those I've had).

They'll replace the parts between the headgear and the nose piece every 3 or 6 mos, I can't remember which.

This is my ins. (Medicare/Medicaid) and yours may do it differently. If you are paying out of pocket, I'd go with the once a month or 6 weeks.

I've been using my full face mask since mid-Sept 2007.  About 2 months ago I got a replacement seal.  I'm still using the same mask, headgear and hose.  I do clean them (fairly) regularly.

Applause Thanks Guys for the info. Last night I checked my CFLEX setting and it was not on the correct setting. I changed it and boy did I sleep.
