Well how often?

I'm not really sure, but I'm guessing every 5 years or more.  But sometimes there's a clear need for a restudy even sooner, especially if your body or condition changes or if you've not been using cpap.  Sometimes there's a need for a re-titration, earlier than the routine need for a sleep study.  Maybe someone else knows more about that.

I had an intial study.  After I was put on the cpap then I went for another study within 6 months.  I then was to see the sleep specialist dr.  I then asked the same question.  He had me bring my machine to the appointment and it was analized as to how often and how the machine and I were getting along.  There is a computer chip if I understand right in the machine.  He said he would see me next year again with the machine and I probably wouldnt need a test for a few years if the machine showed I was still doing well on it.

My doctor said there was not a schedule. He said if I continue to have problems with tiredness, he might want me to have another one soon (I just had my first one in Sept., 2007. Otherwise, he just recommends them if anything changes for the worse.
