I've tried many different ways to find the topic/link you posted and nothing has worked.

Try posting the link again and/or leave more identifying information from the posts so that we can attempt to find it.

To somewhat address your question I'll say this ~

Peacefully dying in oneself has a new meaning for me. It's assumed that the death was peaceful, however, if they died related to OSA, then what happened could have been just the opposite... waking not breathing, or chocking or having a heart attack.  I always thought the ideal way to die was in ones sleep... now I'm not so sure   Shocked

Hi PJ!

I pasted the above link into my browser, and it takes me to a thread on aerophagia... not sure what Peter had in mind by posting that thread?

It is true, however remotely, that OSA patients may stop breathing for the very last time in their sleep.  The risk is increased (sometimes substantially) with drugs that suppress the central nervous system and/or slow down respiration.  It is very important to assess the risk for OSA patients before taking these drugs.  (Information can usually be found in the prescribing info for physicians.)
