Post Took off my mask
I have had 14 straight nights of 8+ hours of sleep until last night.  I went to bed at 10PM.  At three I awaoke and noticed that my mask was off and machine off.  I had put three hours on it before I took it off.  I put it back on and slept thru the rest of the night (4 more hours).  I have NO reccolection of having removed it.  I am sure that it being off is the reason I woke up.  It is so strange doing something and haveing NO rememberence of it.

HAs anyone experienced anythihng like this?  Weeks of perfect sleep and then this.  I am not opverly concerned.  I love my CPAP and going to sleep is a pleasure again.

Hi Thomas,

Believe it or not, quite a common occurence. Some people just take off the mask and others do exactly as you.

I have done it a few times, actually quite a few times in the earlier part of my 11 years on cpap. A bit frightening or strange to wake up and find the machine turned off and the mask placed neatly beside it.

I think you grow out of it.

Daniel

we all do this in our sleep at first, I did
if it becomes a  habit, attach mask to face with sticking plaster, the pain will remind you not to
