Talked to a friend of mine who is a very dedicated game player and he has sold his Xbox360. I was wondering if I was going to have to rush him to a hospital there for a few seconds. Then he told me that it had broken down so much that it had spent more time being repaired than playing games. He'll probably buy another in the next few months but this next one had better work correctly. Course he still only has his Xbox and Wii to keep him busy right now. Any one else out there have a lot of problems with their Xbox360? I thought Microsoft had gotten all the bugs out of their Xbox360s.
Well on to a bright spot for Microsoft. How many Halo 3 players out here? There sure have been enough TV ads for the game. I was certain that someone would have posted a message and whether it really is as good as the chatter seems to say it is.

It's been over a year since all the new game consoles were released. That is the Xbox360. Sony PS3 and the Wii. It has been an interesting year. The good news is that the Wii surprised everyone and has sold very well. The bad news is that the face off between the Xbox360 and the PS3 never happened. Sony is still trying to figure out how to sell the PS3.
I did catch an ad on the TV the other day where Microsoft is now trying to sell the Xbox360 like a Wii. I understand there is a special Xbox360 that is aimed at getting more people involved in gaming the same way the Wii has. It will be interesting to watch and see if it sells well or if the Wii continues to hold that spot.

I adore playing games on the computer. I have been a long time Pogo addict and actually when my apnea was starting to show itself (before diagnosis) my husband thought I was getting out of bed because of my Pogo Addiction!

My friend that told me to buy the Wii is a real hard core gamer but he is down to just his PC now. Told me his Xbox360 spent more time being repaired that it did being used. He said he might buy another one in a year or so. Don't play many games on the PC. Really stick to card games on the PC. I did buy a Wii and they are just alot of fun.
Okay, who has Guitar Hero III for the Wii and what do you think of it?

I have a Wii and a bunch of games for it. Just bought Super Mario Galaxy and a guide but haven't tried it yet. It's supposed to be the best game for the Wii. Somehow found one at Costco
As for Guitar Hero III: I bought that when it first came out and was blown away by it. I haven't played any previous Guitar Hero games but do play bass guitar and upright bass. Went through it on Easy and am starting Medium level. Lots of fun. Beware that there is a problem with the Wii version: it's only monophonic and the Dolby Pro-logic/stereo is busted. Thanks for the info on Guitar Hero III for the Wii. We bought the game for a friends daughter for Christmas. She'll be happy with it no matter what the sound is.

There was an article in yesterday's London Free Press that the Wii is pretty much impossible to get ahold of in this area and in surrounding border cities. Shipments have sold out within minutes of arriving at the stores. People have actually been robbed of them in store parking lots.

My friends daughter and son both loved Guitar Hero III. Played it most of Christmas morning. I had never seen the game myself other than ads. Kinda interesting in the way they found to make a game out of a guitar.
And even after Christmas you still can not find Wii in the stores. This is just unbelieveable. Who would of thought that Nintendo would have such a sucess on their hands.

I've seen several news clips where the Wii is being used in senior's homes and at physiotherapy clinics to help people with coordination and muscle tone. The bowling game is very popular for that. I saw one piece with a man with a spinal injury who uses the Wii each day. Before starting he couldn't sit on the edge of his bed unsupported, but now can manage several minutes at a time. Very interesting development.
Hmmmmmm....I wonder If I could get the Ontario Assistive Devices Program to pay for one? (Tounge planted firmly in cheek)

Brian, your idea of purchasing the Wii for therapy isn't far fetched at all. I'm providing a link to a newspaper article I saw this summer about our local Rehab hospital utilizing the Wii for therapy.http://www.newsobserver.com/lifestyles/food_fitness/story/634591.html

My son got a new PS2 slim for Christmas. He already had a lot of games for it and is not a real big gamer, so he just wanted a replacement for the PS2 that died. I bought him the Guitar Hero III and he has been glued to it every since Christmas Morning. I was looking at getting him the Rock Band game for the PS2 so he can do the drum portions of it for his 16th birthday on the 21st of this month. He wants a drum set and mom and her migraines can not take the real drum set right now. I am hoping that this will satisfy his need to bang on a drum.....lol Has anyone seen or used the Rock Band game for any of the consoles? Do you have an opinion on this game?
Now if I can just fine one in the darn store to buy..........LOL.

Rock Band is really a nice game. A friend has it for the PS3 and loves it. His brothers and him get together and have a ball with it. I just wish it was out for the Wii. Right now only the PS2, PS3, and the Xbox360 can play Rock Band.
