Post Pain inside of my nose
I use the swift II nose pillows, just started two weeks ago and have only used the CPAP twice for more than two hours in one ninght with last night being the 2nd.

I woke up with the interior of my nose being very sore and it has persisted all day.  There has also been a slight amount of blood upon blowing my nose.

Could this be dryness in my nose during thenight?  I already have the humidifier on 3.

Any suggestions?

thanks!

Dave,

It is probably how close the Swift is to your nostrils. We do not normally have an air hose that close to our nostrils. You will get used to it. A lot of people have said that they have to use a different mask until their nose heals. I guess your nose will toughen up eventually.  You can also use Ayr Gel for the inside of your nose. You might also try more humidity unless it causes rain out. Maybe you should switch masks every other day or so.

I feel your pain!

make sure the humidifier is working properly and perhaps turn it up more

Swab inside your nose with saline gel - Ayr, Little Noses, Ocean all make it.  It will add moisture and allow the skin to heal.

Just think of windburn Laughing

Since it isn't medicated you can use it several times a day.  If the 'windburn' is too painful - you may have to do w/o the CPAP or use a mask for a couple of nights and allow the damaged skin to heal.
