It probably means you're breathing through your mouth. Options are:
1. Chin strap
2. Tape across mouth (about 1/2" of paper or plastic adhesive tape)
3. Ensure airway in nose is clear
4. Full face mask
I didn't have great luck with the chin strap, but did with the tape. However, option #3 is the best I've experienced. I've hesitated to use the full face mask, as it creates new challenges with leaks (but I undestand a decent fit is possible).
For option #3, you need to work with your doctor. I use prescription nasal sprays (including an anti-histamine), plus the more "normal" allergy treatments. I can tell the difference when I'm not as faithful using them as I could be. Since I've put a priority on taking my allergy medication faithfully, my spouse hasn't complained.
Good luck,
