This is a great time of year to remind fellow cpapers to consider getting "spare" masks, hoses, filters, humidifer chambers, etc. while they may have met their annual deductibles and out of pocket limits. Also, if you have residual funds in your "cafeteria plan, flexible medical spending account" use it for cpap equipment or supplies....nothing lasts forever! Everyone should have a spare parts supply, for when the hose springs a leak, or the mask breaks in the middle of the night. You don't want to have to go several sleepless nights waiting for the new part to arrive.
Your insurance company may require a prescription from your doctor to pay for the supplies. These are often written "cpap masks and supplies as needed for one year".
