Post What kind of water to use when cleaning equipment?
I know we're supposed to clean out all the parts every so often, and for a while now, I've just been using plain old tap water.  My question is, should I be using distilled water for the cleaning?  Or is just using it in the humidifier at night enough?

Thanks!

Tap water is fine for cleaning, but if used in the humidifier, will soon fill it with scale.

The VA told me tap water and NON-antibacterial soap (like Ivory). also they said to use white vinegar weekly then rinse with water especially if you get a cold.

Hate to say it, but it depends on your tap water. I live in the boonies and have well water.
Because of the mineral content in it, over the 6 months of using my machine and cleaning
the mask parts, the mask has become discolored and a bit yellowish. Soooo... The RT at
the place that provides the machine for me said in that case, distilled or even bottled is
better than my tap water...

just a .02 observation.
