I feel one of the better masks out there is the flexfit 407 by fisher paykel. Very lite and so comfortable.

tbone? Where would someone find one of these type of masks to purchase one if they wanted to? Where do we start to shop around at or is there a certain place that is best suited for this type of equipment? I have read quite a bit tonight about the advantages of the Flexfit masks.

Purchasing masks and machines can be done either locally at a medical equipment provider, or from an online provider.
There are advantages to both.  

If you are interested in online providers, you might try using www.froogle.com which is a product feature of Google.  You will need to search for specific names, like cpap masks.  But prices from different providers will be listed.  But buyer beware.  Be sure you are comfortable with the customer service and understand their policies.  A local provider might be helpful and even let you try on masks.  But online providers can be helpful too.  You need to purchase your equipment where you feel most comfortable.

Hello there Linda. It is nice to see you again. Thank you very much for this information on where to purchase the masks, and also for the tips on customer service etc... I have been doing plenty of research today and am sure I will continue to do so. Honestly though, I am very skeptical because this all sounds frightening to me. Being closterphobic as I am, it bothers me to know that I will be having to wear a mask of some sort. I will get through it, I am sure. One thing I can say is that it is wonderful to have a place to communicate concerns, questions, ideas and more to others who know exactly what you are going through. I think it is awesome that we all have this opportunity to converse this way and help one another out. I will check these things out that you have mentioned in your post.
