Post Sleep Apnea, Insomnia and Neurological problems
I am new to this site but not new to sleep apnea.

Little over a year ago I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. (June 2004)

Within six months I had two major surgeries . (1) Anterior Bladder repair & hysterectomy  (2) Sling to hold up bladder.  Still have bladder problems.

After husband question my snoring while using my CPAP, I thought there was a problem with machine.  Machine wasn't a problem,  My AHI really out of wack.  It ranged daily from 16.7 upto 38.8 my AI was from .6 up to 1.8.   My pressure was changed from 9 to 11.  My AHI hasn't gone below 14 and still some nights up to 28.1 and my AI remained the same.

I also have insomnia, I fall off to sleep rather quickly except last two weeks, but awake at about 3:30 am unable to get back to sleep.   I don't ever feel rested.

Since the surgeries I have had Neurological problems,  numbness in my hands and feet,  tingling in my arms,  ringing in my ears.   numbness in stomach, coordination problems, and cognitive problems.  For two weeks I have had very limited use of my legs, and have been getting around in a wheel chair.

My stress level in the last two weeks had gone up.

Has anyone every had neurological problems that was caused by their sleep apnea?

look up fight or flight response on the net, anxiety causes it and its symptoms can be confused with neuro problems

if using a nose mask, your mouth must stay shut during your sleep, ask husband
