Post Combat arms with sleep apnea what next
I just had this sleep study done and they gave me 2 options  a operation by a ENT or go back in to get the cpap I do not want this to get me discharged I'm on recruiting detail now and if this makes me non deployable I fear I may have to reclass and be stuck in a soft skill.  Are there any combat arms MOS's out there with experience with this?
Oh yeah and forgot to mention the hypertension that I have now had for about7 months 155/115 and I'm 72" 218lbs and with in compliance of ar 600-9 19%    and the sleep apnea was rated at mild 14.9 events per hr.

Any intel will be helpful.  been recruiting now for 2 yrs now

Also I was told that IF I do the CPAP I will have no choice and they will conduct a MRB on me.  If you have been though this in the army before let me know some of the AR's please

Surgeries are not normally effective for treating apnea, although with your mild apnea it could work.  I would think that with the situation in today's military, that it would be a Good Thing if CPAP usage meant being taken off of combat duty.
