Post Rough Acclamation
Hello all!

I am the girlfriend of a man who was recently diagnosed with severe SA.  He got his CPAP 2 days ago - and has struggled with it.

Any recommendations for me that will help him?

Thanks!

Support Him, Support Him, Support Him!!!!

xPAP is not an easy thing for some to accept. It is not always easy for the spouse to accept. I guess I was blessed in that department, as I went FOR the CPAP, so I didn't have problems, and my dear wife actually has trouble sleeping now when it is not turned on.

You need to encourage him, remind him GENTLY how it is going to help him, and don't make negative comments about it around him. Snuggle up to him while he is wearing it and let him know it doesn't bother you, and tell him you're proud of him for using something that he is having trouble with, in order to take care of his self, so the two of you can be together.

You'll be surprised how much of a boost that can be.

Bottom line: Support Him, Support Him, Support Him!!!!
