Post Ever try talking with your CPAP on???
My wife keeps asking me questions when I have my mask on and am in bed for the night.

Try saying, "Now, no one knows only our own owls" or something similar....

I sound like an alien when I try to talk...pretty funny.

Also I mess with my kids by letting the air rush out of my mouth if they come in our bedroom looking to stay up later (they're  and 11).

Ever try whistling with your CPAP...constant airflow...yeah...

Sorry...trying to make the best of this...

My wife messes with me that way -- she purposely waits until the machine is on to ask me something, then giggles when it comes out like Klingon speech.
I haven't tried whistling, though I will  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

One of the really nice features of the Mirage Liberty mask I've been using the last couple of weeks is the quick disconnect where the entire swivel disconnects from the front of the mask just by pressing in on a plastic tab on each side. So it's real easy to pop on and off as needed if I need to be able to say something Smile

I freaked out my sleep tech, during my study.

First off, I (used to) perform with puppets. One of my puppets has this big ole Schnaz, which is what I named him. Anyway, I block off my nose at the back of my throat, and use a nasal voice for him.  Back to the sleep tech...

She came in during the study to adjust the flow sensor, and I woke up. She apologizes and I start talking to her with the CPAP going. I get this wierd look from her and asked her about it. She says she is surprised I can talk to her, yet alone her understand me. Led to a couple of funny moments during the night.

OMG! Yes! I did this by accident when I was waking up in morning of my sleep test! Scared the heck outta myself at first. Then I was playing around and I figured it was like letting the air out of a balloon and *I* was the balloon!  Laughing

Hmm, I just got an idea. My pressure is pretty high at 22. I wonder if I can get some bubble gum and blow some serious bubbles without even trying?

Post mask funnies
Yes, we sure do sound funny when we attempt to talk while wearing the mask, but the funniest thing for me is when I put my mask on before kissing my husband good night. Now that's a dilemma! One that has led to some funny, non amorous moments I might add! That rush of air is unlike any other experience! We will be celebrating thirty-four years of marriage this month, at this point in time any new experience is a good one, so we're not complaining   Wink

It's great to keep our sense of humor with this. Better to laugh than to cry which is also hard to do while wearing the mask!

I think I'll take my machine to my next birthday party! I can blow soap bubbles, balloons, and nail every candle on the cake just by opening my mouth!
