Post Best way to get stiffness out of a new hose
Hi all,
I got a new hose from my DME. I would like to know the best way to get the stiffness out of it. I can almost tie a knot in my old one, but this one has what appears to be permanent bends in it.

Thanks for all of your help.

My comfort curve was the same way (mask that comes with its own hose.)  The only thing that seemed to straighten it out was time.  You might try connecting it to your machine, leave a mask on the other end and lay it out flat.  That might help...

a soak in warm (not hot) water should help, suck water into the hose as well
in general the weight of the hose should be supported so the hose isnt tugging against the mask

Thanks for all of the suggestions regarding my hose. I will try all of them.

My DME has a distribution point that supplies all of their locations, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that it had been sitting there for a long time.

Again thanks all.

So to plagiarize everybody, how about soaking it in a sink of very warm water until it is good and warm and hanging it over the shower curtain rod, weighting one end down with your mask and the other end with something of a similar weight (just hook it to the hose with a rubber band).
