Hi there Sueleelang,
Ok, I had to chuckle reading how you intentionally face your husband so the exhaust air makes him turn over so the snoring doesn't wake you!
Say, sounds like to me he ought to be tested for sleep apnea. Has he ever had a sleep study? Does he have any other symptoms? Just because the apnea episodes or whatever they are aren't so noticable doesn't mean he doesn't have sleep apnea. It might be worth it for him to be tested. And if it turns out he doesn't have sleep apnea, he will love the chance to tell you "I told you so." lol
So I'm guessing you're doing much better with cpap. Your description of before using cpap is like mine. My symptoms had gotten so very severe. I was sleeping all the time, any time I could. But after I learned about sleep apnea, I see that it wasn't really sleep. Oh, it was sleep, but I was damaging my body even more by zonking out all the time, because every time I lied down to sleep, my oxygen levels got lower and lower because of the apnea. Strange, huh?
Have you had followup visits with your doc lately? If the cpap is working but you're still feeling tired, maybe there's something that can be done. It can take some tweaking. How is the mask working for you? What kind do you use? Does it cover the nose only? Are you mouth breathing? If there's no mask leak issues or mouth breathing issues, maybe it's just a matter of needing a slight change in cpap pressure. The doc might order you a temporary use of an auto cpap to further titrate you.
It's good you have a supportive husband. Hold on to him!
Linda
