Hi all!

Back when I needed to go for a sleep study in a clinic, it was a bit of a pain to find one nearby. To make it easier for those after me, I decided to build an interactive sleep clinics map.

I have about 1200 now and covered pretty much all of the UK and United States. I'm half-way through the Canadian sleep labs and have Australia and Germany lines up too.

I was hoping you could spare a minute and check to see whether the clinics you visited and know of are included. Changes are I missed a few but would like for it to be as complete as possible.

The map is in the middle of the page here: http://www.cpap.co.uk - a bigger version will be available soon on clinics.cpap.co.uk but until I have all major English speaking nations, that's the place to find them.

It tries to detect your location by your computer IP address so hopefully it will zoom in on where you are pretty accurately. If not, just punch in your zip code, town name or state.

If you could please let me know any missing clinics, that'd be grand.

Whew! Joe, you've been BUSY! Thank for going to all this trouble for fellow sleep apnea sufferers!

Using just my ISP address the map is still bound and determined I am in Illinois instead of Michigan - but it has expanded a bit to include an Illinois city w/the same name as my Michigan city.

Poor Saginaw, Michigan is STILL not credited w/having any sleep labs even tho I posted several in your previous thread and at least one of them is fully accredited. Smaller towns surrounding Saginaw have sleep labs listed: Bay City and Owosso, even tho both are considerably smaller towns than Saginaw, and Flint which is somewhat larger than Saginaw.

With previous thread, do you mean on cpaptalk? I've not mentioned it here before. Alex and I are collecting a list of missing ones before adding them in a batch so that could be why you can't find those mentioned just yet.

Based on Linda's great thread here with tips on finding a sleep clinic, we're planning to add whether a clinic is accredited or not:

Your website says I'm near Chicago but I'm in Toronto, Canada.  

Why can't we just look at the list itself?  I'd be glad to compare my info on Toronto sleep clinics with yours, if I could see anything to compare it to.

You may already be aware of this Canadian list of sleep clinics ( http://www.css.to/sleep/centers.htm).. Sorry, it won't paste as a link. In any event, it is not comprehensive as I read a report recenty that said there are 97 licensed sleep clinics in Ontario. If I can find a better one, I'll post it.

Frances, with the search below the map you can go to Toronto. When I'm confident we have most clinics we will expand its features and indeed come with more of a regular list as well.

Missing:

Presbyterian Sleep Disorders Center, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, 8300 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110

They are AASM accredited but are not a member, so they don't show up on the sleepcenters.org website because that site only lists *member* sleep labs, not all accredited sleep labs.  As far as I know, there is no list of all *accredited* sleep labs.

The lab and the doctors there are fabulous, they really go the extra mile and are very supportive of patients managing their own therapy, I highly recommend them.
