Post I'm not quite sure what to do...
My girlfriend has had sleep apnea in the past, before we were together. She told me that her sleep pattern has been getting irregular again, and last night we were on the phone when she went to bed. She said it was very difficult to breath, and she was afraid it might be coming back. I want to help her, but I don't know if there's anything I can do. Any suggestions would help, I appreciate it.

Hi,

We need to know more in order to suggest things.
Like, is she currently using a cpap machine and mask when she sleeps?
If so, how long?

If she's using a machine and it's been a long time since a sleep study, she may need another sleep study and a change to her machine.
If she isn't using a cpap, has she had a sleep study already?
If she's not on any cpap and doesn't see a doctor, she needs to see a doctor.  A specialist would be better, like a pulmonary doctor.

I'm afraid you and we would need to know more.
It's real nice that you want to help her.  I'm sure she can use your support.
Where can I find someone like you?

Seriously, keep in touch.  If you can tell us more, maybe we can help more.

Linda
