Post Persistent Ear infection setback
Before getting my CPAP I had an ear infection.   The infection was cleared up, but I was still having issues with fluid build up.  In fact my titration study with done while this condition was just starting to clear up.  I had a couple of days where I felt like someone jammed an Ice pick through my skull.  I gave my Doc a call to discuss the issue.  It seems that I should not have started on CPAP until this condition was fully cleared up.  So, I have been advised to discontinue the CPAP for now.

In retrospect, it should have been something I might have thought of asking about.  Just the same, it would have been nice if the question was asked first.

I had issues with my ears plugging up horribly after the first night with a full face mask, plus inner ear problems.  When I discussed this with my doctor, he suggested I begin taking Benadryl every night before going to bed to 'dry' up the fluid in my eustachin [SP?] tube.  Since I've done this, I have had no problems with inner ear disturbances.

Thanks.  I am on a steroid based nasal spray right now.  I'll probably continue this.  My problem is something that began several weeks ago and happend to overlap with my CPAP delivery.  I have an appointment with an ENT specialist, so hopefully he can figure out why the problem is persisting so long.    I am off of CPAP until it is resolved.
