hello everyone,
i had a pretty serious attack last night. i woke up freaked out and i felt like i was drowning. i guess i hadn't been breathing for a while. I jumped out of bed(im on the top bunk, my roomate is on the bottom) and ran into the living room and get into an open space. I forced myself to breathe and felt like i was about to throwup from all the activity, but i didn't. This only happens one a year or so, and when it does it scares me and hurts like hell. I didn't wak up my roomate(not sure how i didn't) but when i talked to him about it in the morning he said i should see a doctor. i never really thought of this as a conidtion, i just figures it happens to people once in a while. am i wrong? is this serious? i checked the symptoms and i fall into a few of them, like tired all the time and waking up with a dry mouth. again, i have not seen any doctor and im a little hesitant to(due to cost, im just a poor college student). what have all your experiences been?

you might be describing a nocturnal panic attack with GERD, look up both via a search engine
