Hi everyone.  We have been having a few problems with Alex's c-pap shutting off.  We have been considering having a battery back up for it.  Just wondering what other's experience with the batteries is.

Do you mean it turns itself off or that you have a power outage?  A CAP should not be shutting itself off and if that is the case you need a new CPAP.

If it is because you have a power outage, then search for "power" "electricity" "backup" in the upper right search field.  There has been a lot of discussion about what to do for power outages.

Vicky~  If there is a leak in his mask the alarm goes off and the machine will shut down after a minute.  This happened about 4 month's ago and they just changed out the machine.  Now they are saying that it is because he must have a leak.  We are currently looking at a couple of new masks that came out to see if we can get a better fit.  I did look into the battery back up but it doesn't appear that it would solve our problem.  As for the power outage, we have had that also.  We were told that the only way to help with this is if we had a generator that turns on as soon as we loose power.  Thanks for your reply!
