Caffeine does absolutely nothing for me. People talk about drinking mountain dews and espressos and "buzzing".... sometimes I WISH I could get that response out of caffeine!!

Anyway.... has anybody had the experience where they took the Provigil for a couple days and thought that it wasn't working, and then all of a sudden on the 3rd or 4th day it seems to "kick in" and you're wide awake? I really can't tell if its the Provigil or the fact that I broke the 7hour sleep barrier last night.... lol (or maybe its just a combination of both....??)

Caffeine has a diminishing effect over time. I'm another who has reached a point where caffeine has little to no effect. My wife, on the other hand, consumes far less of it than I do (goes days at a time without any caffeine, has always done the no caffeine at all thing while pregnant, etc.). For her, a glass of caffeinated tea or a Dr. Pepper any time after dinner is guaranteed to keep her from getting to sleep at a reasonable hour.

I'm slowly weaning myself from caffeine. I'm down to drinking two cups of Diet Coke with lunch during the week, and none in the evenings or on the weekends most of the time. A couple of weeks and I'll drop to one cup, and then hopefully switch to something non-caffeinated.
