Headband information for those whose headband is not covered by insurance.

I have been breathing through my mouth and made a head band to see if that helped.  It did, but as it was a hurriedly made thing it wasn’t the most comfortable.  I then asked my supplier if a head band was covered by Medicare.  I was assured that it was.  As the equipment which they had initially supplied to me was Respironics, I assumed the headband would be made by Respironics.  It was not.  As a matter of fact, it had no label either on the band or the package.  The band consists of a 3.25 inch by 27 inch band of elastic with a 2.25 inch Velcro hook on one end and a 5.25 inch band of the other Velcro part on the other end.  The price to Medicare is $18.00.

Looks like a simple thing to make if you have no insurance and it's reasonably comfortable to wear.

I agree, anyone could make up a chinsplint using some wide elastic and simply knotting it togrether
