Post Trouble adjusting to mask
I've been using the cpap for about ten days now.  The first day I believed I was getting a cold.  So I didn't pay too much attention to my sinuses.  However, I still have sinus problems and sneezing.  I'm beginning to believe it could be symptoms of my mask.  I have a comfort nose mask.  At first my nose dried out.  I do have a humidifier on mine, but, didn't turn it on.  When I did turn it on after a dry nose, my mask condensated up and dripped all night long, ugh!  So I turned off the humidifier and slept quite well that night.  My one and only good night out of 10.  The next night, no humidifier, and I woke up with congested.  I'm not sure if I have a cold, or, it's my machine?  Can anyone help?  Thanks Rolling Eyes

Bunny,

If your humidifier is resting on a surface that is higher than your head, you may experience the 'rain out' you mention.  Also, if you have an adjustable setting on your humidifier try it on at the lowest setting and keep gradually increasing until you have the amount of moisture you need.

I set  mine on the 'middle' setting....   Any higher and I'm getting too much moisture.

Good luck.

Hello Louise,

My humidifier is set on 2, that's what they set it at, at the sleep clinic.  I guess I'll try 1 and see how that goes.  Also, my machine sits on the floor.
Thanks for your suggestions.
