Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and look forward to learning from you all.
I started with my cpap machine the beginning of July. Unfortunately while starting with and adjusting to the mask I was also caring for my mother who lost her fight with cancer on July 21. My grandmother also lost her fight just 3 months earlier on April 12. I'm thinking these losses have alot to do with the fact that I don't feel the cpap is working for me. My doctor feels they may contribute to but are not entirely to blame. So, here I am 3 months into using my cpap and not feeling any better. My doctor increased my "flow" 2 weeks ago and so far still feeling the same... and now to boot my mask has started "whistling" which wakes me constantly throughout the night... (also wakes husband who has apnea and is waiting for his cpap). I have the patience for letting the cpap "kick in", my doctor is working with me with this problem. My question is about the "whistling" mask.... does anyone else experience this? are there any ideas what may be causing it? The whistling is not coming from where the mask seals on my face, it seems to be coming from the vent.
