cornpop16..Debbie...I used to have that problem when I first started cpap....I started at a pressure of 10 but when it was put up to 11 I seemed to have problems...but went back down to 10 and now all seems fine. Maybe in time it will improve.

I have found I had the same problem till I started sleeping more on my back or back/side against a pillow(s).  Keep your chest open and don't cross your arms over your chest.  I was getting chest pains by sleeping on my side with both arms in front of my chest causing me to force air into my chest.  I was actually stressing the muscles across my chest.  Open up your chest area by sleeping on your back with arms at your side.

It sounds like aerophagia (basically trapped air) but you don't want to mess around with chest pain.  Talk to your doc.  If he decides that there is nothing wrong with your ticker, you can try a few things to help.  #1 is move around a lot, that helps let the air out.  (yes it will come out both ends)  You also might try Gas-x.  For most folks the aerophagia seems to abate after a few weeks.  Been there done that myself, and I know that it isn't comfortable...

BTW, what kind of mask are you using?  I found that my aerophagia was worse with a full face mask...

I would not think chest pains to be normal and i concur with all others who suggest you visit with you Doc about this.

The only pressure i feel when wearing my CPAP is in my ears...like they need to pop or like they are slightly plugged up.

I think the company line on the onset of chest pain and pressure isn't even call your doctor. It's

Call 911

Because if there's a chance that the worst thing that can happen is in fact occurring, you don't have days, or even hours.  You have minutes.

Here's some AHA Guidelines on chest pain, and everyone should familiarize themselves with what to do in a case of heart attack.
