Post Head cold symptoms
Hi all, I was wondering if there is any way of relieving my head cold symptoms so I can make full use of the cpap. I am constantly stuffed up, have a headache and pressure in my ears, throat pain, coughing and chest pressure. I am schedualed for septoplasty surgery and to get my tonsils out but Jan. 4th is still so far away. I want relief now!!! My doctor doesn't seem to be much help...any advice?
Debbie

Do you have allergies?  If so, then all of the standard allergy meds.  Prescription antihistamines such a Allegra, Zyrtec, etc., a topical nasal steriod like Rhinocort, Nasonex, Flonase, etc. and my sinus irrigation protocol and recipes which I posted around here somewhere.  If you can't find the post, I'll PM it to you.

If you have a cold, then all the standard decongestants with sinus irrigation.

Meds that make OSA worse are those that decrease muscle tone like tranquilizers and anti-depressants.  Alcohol can do it also, but the amount in cold meds. is negligible unless you drink enough to get soused  Laughing
