Post head throbbing when using CPAP
Hello everyone.  New here and have a pressing question.  I hadn't been using my CPAP regularly until I had surgery last week and was told that I stopped breathing many times during it.  My doctor really emphasized that I get back on my CPAP regime, which I did.  I was doing fine until two nights ago when I put my headgear on and within one minute I began having head throbbing.  It also felt like I just wasn't getting enough air.  I have a hard enough time with the CPAP because of claustrophobia and anxiety, but this was different.  It happened again last night after having it on for a very short time to the point where I had to take it off.  Any thoughts?

Hello Kristina and welcome!

Do you wear a full mask or nasal pillows?  During my sleep study they fit me with a mask and I gotta say that was stressful. When i got my own CPAP machine i was relieved to see the nasal pillows.  they are comfy, light, i can put on or remove my eye-glasses with the head gear on and no stress of being 'closed in' like with a mask.

Good Luck!

Post mask or pillows
Hi there.  I switched from a full mask to the nasal pillows, but I still find it uncomfortable.  I have a constant bruise spot on my forehead where the hose rubs against it at night.  I found a great new nasal pillows mask on the internet where the hose won't go over my head at all and there is only one very thin strap holding it in place.  I am looking into getting that one.  The problem that I have is the pulsating feeling in my head when I put my cpap on.
