Post Help! Any other solutions
I more than welcome any other solutions for my sleep apnea problem other than
a cpap device. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I have considered accupuncture and also surgery for my problem. I have been on a Cpap machine with nasal pillows for about three months, may I say unsuccessfully.  Guess I am trying to find a quick fix for the problem. Thank you.

If there are better solutions - I'd sure like to know Smile   I used C-pap unsuccessfully for most of this year - then had a UPPP surgery 3 weeks ago- which so far has done nothing for me- I have been able to tolerate the machine now for some benefit - but not a lot.

Good Luck - John

Hi,

There is no quick fix.
Surgical options have very limited success, depending of course on the severity of your apnoea. One surgical option, a tracheotomy, has almost a 100% success rate as it allows a bypass of the airway.

Hypnosis. accupuncture, buteyko breathing, snake oil etc don't work either, based on a lack of peer reviewed studies over a 3/5 year period.

If you are having problems with cpap, post details here and I am certain that you will get good advice from numerous contributors. I doubt there is anyone with OSA who has not had problems with cpap, but it is the gold standard treatment and is worth a big effort to become compliant.

Daniel
