Post Central Apneas and Mixed Apneas
Hello, again,
Now that I've been reading more peoples' posts, I'm wondering about this result from my study:
39 central apneas
28 mixed apneas

These were in addition to the obstructive apneas and hypopneas.

What do you think? Thanks!

Post Centrals and Mixed
Hi RocsFan!
Say, your AHI was 136, so you had like 500 events during the night?  With reduced sleep as well?
The C & M's are probably a result of the arousals accompanying the apneas, so see what happens after the CPAP titration.
For some light reading on centrals, here's a thread from the pediatric section, but the stuff on centrals is still pertinent.
A mixed in your case probably results from a post-arousal central, meanwhile you obstruct, so it turns into an obstructive.  You are gonna feel soooooo good after CPAP.

I'm either very tired- which isn't unusual for me, but I think dave forgot to put the link in his post: http://www.apneasupport.org/viewtopic.php?t=334  Really good reading- and he is correct that centrals are not always something to worry about, especially if you have OSA.
