My husband has been using the CPAP full mask for two months.  He had many problems adjusting to the right mask.  Everything was going on well but now he still snores with the full mask.  He experiences blocked nose because of his asthma.  Sometimes he just wants to give up...  Any advise for new users of CPAP machine? Thanks a million. Rolling Eyes

My husband experienced the same thing this week when he switched to the full face mask. He didn't have it adjusted correctly. After a lot of adjusting, readjusting down he got it right & has had two good nights in a row with it.
Does your husband use any nasal steriods to help keep his nose unblocked? Mine uses flonase on a daily basis & that helps. I wonder if he tried a breathe right  strip when that happens if that would help at all. Those things are a life saver at times.

Thanks for the reply, Girlfriend!

what type of flonase does your husband use?  After adjusting the pressure level to 11, my husband had a good rested sleep last night.  Still has a blocked nose.  He is claustrophobic too.  What do you think about nasal pillow?  Is there less hassle than using the face mask? Thanks Razz

I am not sure what kind of flonase he uses I will take a look tonight. He has used the nasal pillows for the last year but has been on the full face mask since Monday & there truly is a differnce. He has more energy & isn't as hard to get up at 4:30 in the am. The full mask is definitely more hassel to get on & adjust & is really hard because he can't talk to me when it's on,  but it is working. I have seen many discussions about the hybrid mask you should check that out since he is clausterphobic. I did see another post too where someone is using the breathe rights. I use them when I have a cold as I have large turbinates & when I get a cold am totally blocked. ( heck I have worn one at my desk during the daytime when sick. They are awesome.
