Post New Avatar!
Laughing   Well, I didn't see an avatar in the gallery that I liked......so I made my own.  I just couldn't resist.  Can't believe I actually felt like creating....it's been quite awhile since I've wanted to play a little with my Paint Shop Pro.  Must be the great sleep I'm getting.   Wink

Thanks Rachel....is that a picture of your cat?  And yes, I'm a cat lover.  Also a dog lover...lol!  We have a boxer and 2 cats, our cats look like the cats in my avatar, only bigger.  LOL!

Post Avatar question
Once you create something (I have Photoshop), how do you make it the right size/shape/format etc. to be an avatar?

Thanks.

Oggie,
I'm not totally familiar with Photoshop, but the way I made mine in PSP, is I found a photo that I liked,  opened it in PSP, then copied it, and I opened a new image the size that I needed (80x80 pixels) and then I went up to "selections" and chose Select All, and then right clicked on the NEW image title bar and chose paste into selection.   Then I deselected added my text, and saved it as a jpeg.  Oh, I had to go to File/export and then to the jpeg optimizer so I could make sure it was under 6kbs, and then saved it.   I'm sure the Photoshop would be similar, you'd just have to play around with it.   Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Vicki,

If it's an animated GIF, you have to resize it to 80x80 pixels, but you can't do it in a regular paint program because it will only "see" the first frame. You have to use Animation Shop or some other similar program. It will open the file in frames and resize them all.

Gee, we have a lot of kitty avatars here...  Very Happy
