 Celebration
Today is my 1 year anniversary of being on cpap, and I am celebrating. I am celebrating LIFE. Life is a joyous thing for me, and before I found out that I had OSA, my life was spent in a sleep laden fog. This path we are on is not easy. For me it took 9 months to find a mask that I could actually sleep in with out leaks. I went through all the emotions.....fear, anger, "is this worth it"......but I have to tell you, I would go through all that again just to feel this great. Now I can enjoy the world around me. I have energy to do things with my husband and children. In short I have a life. So for all you newbies out there, Life is precious, and this is the path to getting your life back. It is a celebration!
All of you have a great day.
Hugs
Madre

 Happy Anniversary Madre
I just wanted to expess my well wishes to your one year anniversary. Your words are inspirational and honest in that there are better days ahead for all (including myself), but there may be a few more roadbumps. Enjoy your life and the life you share with your family, the road taken is as important as the destination (goal). Happy anniversary once again!!!

Congrats Madre!
As a newbie myself, I printed your post and taped it to my door. Thought it would motivate me whenever I'm tempted to give up or skip a night.
Thanks for the inspiration, I find stories like yours very helpful.
regards,
Stodd

Congratulations, Madre! I am so happy for you. I know a little of what you're feeling, as I've been on CPAP for about 10 weeks now. I know I still have to be patient - your post will make it easier. Go out and do something fun to celebrate!

CONGRATS MADRE!!!!!! LOVE your attitude. You're right there are ups and downs in the CPAP process but it is worth it in the long run
