Post Hose and Pressure
My machine came with a 6 foot hose.  I would like to get a 10 foot hose.  At what point does the hose lenght effect the pressure supplied by the bipap machine?  Would a 10 hose change this pressure? or am I safe in getting this longer hose.

Haku,

I believe that cpap hoses come in 2 or 3 lengths. The standard 6 ft hose (c.2 metres), there is also a shorter hose used for connections to humidifiers. Then there is a 12ft (c.4 metres).

Your cpap supplier should be able to guide you regarding pressure, but I think there is no need to change the pressure if it is a standard cpap machine, as the pressure builds up once the machine is turned on.

Daniel
