Remstar Auto E-25 Error

Postby DogmeatAl » Sat Apr 01, 2006 1:04 pm

Hi folks. Does anyone know what a E-25 error message on a Remstar Auto is. I've searched a great deal and had no luck finding out.

Thanks!

Hi. Just a little more information on the error.

Fortunately, I was prepared for the night my machine might die, so I had a spare Remstar Auto ready to go. I plugged it into the Remstar heated humidifier and it worked perfectly.

I decided to play around with the machine giving the error code. If I plug it in w/o the humidifier, it seem to work fine (at least it blows air and gives no error code). Plug it in through the humidifier and the error shows up.

Odd, to say the least.

You might try removing the card and starting it up. I seem to remember that there was an error associated with bad cards coming up...

I had the same error message after two days of the machine randomly turning itself on. - Its weird walking by the bedroom door and hearing the CPAP turn on and air starting to blow out of the mask! - Among other things, I tried removing and replacing the smartcard but did not try a new card. My DME immediately replaced the machine upon my calling in the error and said that the e-25 was among the errors that the company "pre-authorized" replacement and return.

Thanks. I guess I'll call my DME. I was hoping to never have to deal with them again.

E-25 Error Code

Postby SnoringSinceBaby » Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:21 am

Taken from the Remstar Auto instruction manuals:

"error" and an error code(E-???) are flashing the displayscreen, the alert tone is s ounding and the buttons are flashing.

SOLUTION: Press any button on the REMstar Auto w/C-Flex to silence the alert tone. Discontinue Use! Disconnect the power cord from the AC wall outlet. Contact your home care provider or Respironics for directions on having your REMstar Auto with C-Flex serviced. Please have the device's serial number and the error code ready when you call.

Hope that helps....don't tell anyone but my hubby runs a DME company, LOL! SHHHH I dont wanna get CPAP's tossed at me!

Took my machine in to my DME today. It seems that a E-25 error is a flow sensor error and the machine needs to go to Respironics.

Probably a good thing. The machine is two months shy of being two years old, so I get to send it into the factory for work just before it goes out of warranty.

Link works better without the URL at the end.

I shortened up the link so it doesn't run off the page. Thanks James, that is a great link!
