Here are three links which will provide you with reputable information at all levels of understanding.

The FDA web site has anything you need to know about any FDA approved drug or instrument product.  You can read the forests of paperwork correspondence between the company and the FDA.  Contrary to public belief, nothing is hidden, you will be very surprised at what you will find.  Anything blacked out is proprietary to the company, the FDA knows what it is, but has blocked it out for the sake of company propriety (things like exact drug compositions, etc.)  You can also find all correspondence the public has sent to the FDA such as product complaints.  The web site is public friendly, but also set up for professional use.

Every peer reviewed and published medical journal article in the World is archived here at the US National Center for Biotechnology Information's (NCBI) US National Library of Medicine (NLM) which is also a part of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH).  All reputable research is found here using a PubMed search.  Science is followed and expanded on through these archives.  Medical commercial ventures begin here.  This is the hard core science, not written for the general public.  In case you wonder, Medline is included within a PubMed search.

Medscape is set up for both medial professional use and use for the general public.  I believe either level is understandable by readers of this forum.  You have to register to use it, but it is very easy to use and searchable.

Happy searching!!  Vicki

Post Book with Web Links on Sleep Apnea and Studies
There is a very interesting medical book series, by topic, for those interested in studies and resources.
"The Official Patients Sourcebook on Sleep Apnea" James N Parker MD and Philip M Parker PhD
from ICON Health Publications.

I bought my copy from Amazon.com as a digital book, and then can directly follow all the internet links on the web and add comments electronically to the book. To do that one must add digital editions to your Adobe Reader. It is free but it does require some new installation to your reader. This is done to protect copyrighted materials.

If you want to dig into the research or learn more than the average patient, this book series is an interesting tool
