Post Clogged Ears
I've had my CPAP for about 2 weeks now, and regardless of which mask I use (I have a ComfortClassic nose mask and a Puritan-Bennett Breeze with Nasal Pillows) I get a lot of pressure built up in my ears, often becoming painful after a while.  It mainly happens when I swallow or try and clear my throat.  Does anyone have any suggestions, other than turning over and drooling all over myself?

I have a similar problem.  Using the ramp feature on your cpap may help some.  Also your doctor may prescribe a decongestant medication, and nasal spray to help relieve the fluid in your ears.  How high is your pressure?

I knew I forgot something up there. :P  Right now I'm at 17, but I think it may go up or I may be switched to a bipap machine.  I'm still having episodes, although at much less frequency as before.

Perhaps changing to a bi-pap will also reduce some of the pressure on your ears, be sure your doctor knows about the problem you are having.  It is easy to forget to tell them everything, so sometimes I make a list before going and just hand it to the doctor when I get there.
