Study results. I have been on CPAP for several months and when asked to describe the difference in a word, the word was 'profound.' I had always suspected that I had apnea based on my sleepiness at unusual times. I sleep on the job. I nap daily with little benefit. My friends know that I'm useless after 10pm. My family expects me to sleep at gatherings. My Wife almost left me when I began to get uncontrollably tired on dates. Sure enough, the study came back with severe apnea. I can say with certainty that the CPAP has changed my life in a very short time. The two most profound differences were in my social and mental engagement tied to my higher energy levels. FWIW, I don't fit the profile. I'm young, average height, weight, and physically fit with a low resting heart rate and low blood pressure. My physicians all say that I have HUGE tonsils, deviated septum, and a large uvula. All of this leads me to consider trying a surgical solution but the more I read the more I second guess the wisdom. Anyways, here are my results. I'd be interested in hearing your interpretation. I'm new to the site and look forward to bonding with fellow sufferers.
