Post Any new masks out there for little ones??? PLEASE
My 5 yr old son and 4 yr old daughter both been diagnosed with post-surgery OSD.

My son is using the Full mask Quattro Mirage in XS- both of them are mouth breathers and need a full mask.
His mask is showing leakage at 60%...my daughter hasn't gotten a mask yet. I would love any input on other full masks!!!

HELP PLEASE!

I don't know of any off the top of my head, but will call my DME today and ask our respiratory therapist about them.  He may or may not tell me anything helpful, but I'll try to get some information.

Well, that was faster than I thought it would be.

Our RT highly recommends the Flexifit masks (either nose or full face) for kids. They are adult masks, but can be more easily custom sized than others. He did say there was another brand called "Forma" that he also likes, but doesn't use it on kids unless the Flexifit masks don't work first.

Hope that helps...

A side note, my son sleeps with a FlexiFit 406, which is just a nasal mask. He slept with the mask and c-pap last night for the first time after his last sleep study and managed for more than 2 hours when I took it off of him so that he would have a sense of accomplishment and wear it longer tonight!  He is 3 years old.

Thank you Tiffany! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my post. I will call my DME right now!
So nice to find other parents struggling with these issues, at times it can feel like you are the only ones!

Post pediatric CPAP masks
There is a new FP mask called Zest petite that is very nice for kids.  I am a pediatric sleep specialist and a pediatric respiratory therapist, so I'm always looking for new masks.  Resmed has also come out with a line called MicroMirage.  They are all adult masks, but come in smaller sizes, so they may work.  This site is great for me because it's great to get input from parents who are actually dealing with these problems.
