Post Just remembered question about talking in sleep
A reference to talking in sleep in another post reminded me..

I have talked in my sleep for years.

I am pretty sure I talked during my study - unless I dreamt that Smile
I was surprised that there wasn't a note somewhere on that.
I dreamt that the technician said the word "42" over the intercom, and
I responded.. "42?" (In my mind, I was thinking this was the
number of apneas  Apparently not. Smile

I don't know if it has any bearing, but thought I'd throw it out there.

And another thing I remember, and that was not in the report.
I remember having a little coughing fit - maybe pointing to a respiratory
issue, maybe not. It all seems like a big puzzle at this point.

Post Re those PVCs
Hi Jenny 33,

I can help with your question about the PVCs -- I'm a cardiac nurse. PVCs in case you don't know stands for "premature ventricular contractions", essentially when your ventricles contract earlier than they should during a cardiac cycle. They're a sign of ventricular irritability and can result from a variety of causes, all the way from benign (too much caffeine) to serious (following a heart attack). In your case, they probably result from hypoxemia, a low level of oxygen in your blood due to the sleep apnea. So yes, they probably will resolve with CPAP. Ask your doctor to be sure.

By the way, if you have them while awake,  you'll be able to feel that your pulse is irregular. They'll feel like your heart is dropping (not a scientific term but it's the most descriptive one I can think of).  Or you may feel that some heartbeats are stronger than others. Also, you might feel anxious -- I always do when I have them. Try to stay calm if you have them (hard to do, I know) as excitement can make them more frequent.

Hope this reassures you. Let me know if you have any more questions about this.

Post thanks Miss Rumphius
Thanks for your insights - that is very helpful. Reading your explanation, the caffeine could be a culprit.
Since I've been so tired, I've been over-doing the caffeine to get through the day.
My oxygen level stayed above 93% during my study.

I'm also wondering if the PVC's are a results of my RERA's.. I didn't have many obstructive events, but a ton of RERA's.

I just got my appt for CPAP titration today - Jan 20. That's quicker than I expected, so I'm relieved.

Hope things are going well for you!
