My DME tech says that they are ordering a Resmed VPAP III (not an Auto 25 though) with an S8 housing.  I don't see this one on the Resmed website.  I'm also getting a Swift LT mask.   She said the insurance approved a 10-month rental with a conversion to purchase afterwards.  They'll cover it at 90% with no deductible.

I hope this is the right machine and a decent deal...

It sounds like you're getting a good one.

Extra intelligence—managing your therapy
VPAP III offers comprehensive data management features, allowing your clinician to monitor and manage your therapy.
SmartStart™ feature automatically starts and stops your device.
Smart Data™ provides you with usage and mask fit information.
Mask-fitting feature allows you to adjust your mask fit to ensure an optimal seal.

Its not Resmed's latest and greatest but it sounds like it "might" provide the data you need. Just make sure they turn the Smart Data on. I'm a bit leery since it says "Smart Data™ provides you with usage and mask fit information." What about AHI, AI, HI, Leak??

CPAPerRon,

I am also in Charlotte and just wondering how you are doing with your CPAP?  Were you irritable and miserable before starting the CPAP?   Are you feeling better?
