Post A new Life
Well its been about 2 1/2 months since my Trach. I've been back to work for a month now. I'm feeling better each week. My sleep is amazing, no more head sweats either. At work it feels like my memory is so much better. I have a much better attitude, and feel more enthusiastic about my job again.
My final trach is a #6, I wear a cap during the day at work, and leave it uncapped at night for sleeping. Am I glad I went through with the surgery? You bet your butt I am. I'm currently working on my diet and getting my motivation levels back again. I cancelled our lawncare people about a month ago and have been mowing everyweek. Prior to surgery I had no interest in doing those type of things. Its amazing how after a couple months the trach feels like its always been a part of you. Its like its not even there. Can't wait for the 6 month mark when I get to change it out by myself. That should be interesting for sure.

I hope evryone else out there is doing well.

Take care,
BigJohn

Hi there John,

I'm so glad you're feeling so much better.  It's wonderful that this is bringing back your energy, your motivation, and so much more.  Congratulations on things working out for you.  Keep us posted, kiddo.  But then again, you'll be off enjoying your new life, and that's how it should be.  Enjoy!
